Explanations

This week we have been reading and sharing some explanations. We have also been learning about the features of amazing explanations.

Firstly, we read some explanations with a partner and highlighted the features that we could see...

 

Miss Slater combined our ideas and highlighted them again on big copies for us to read. 

Secondly, we came up with a success criteria for an amazing explanation as a class...

 

The next day Miss Slater shared an explanation with the class about how kites work. We marked her writing against the 'success criteria.' She had some next steps too!
