Making Connetions

Today we learned about a reading strategy called 'Making Connections.' We discovered that we can make connections with what we read in three ways:
Connections between ourselves and what we read
Connections between what we read and stories we have previously read
Connections between the world and what we read

We then read a story about rafting with a buddy and made some interesting connections...
